Agility Italy Supports Associazione ‘Senza Confini’

The direct involvement of Agility Italy made it possible for 14 children from areas hit by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986 to spend four days in a high mountain refuge located in the middle of the Gran Paradiso National Park in northwest Italy. The trip was organized by Associazione ‘Senza Confini’ (Association without Borders).

During their stay, the children took in some fresh air, drank contaminant free water and played in a healthy environment. For many of the children, it was the first time they saw mountains. While in Italy, the children underwent complete medical checks at a specialized oncology hospital.

Moving out of the Chernobyl area for at least two months every year helps the children reduce the amount of radioactive isotopes (cesium) in their bodies and provides for a healthier life back home.
