Agility Indonesia Team Aids in Flood Relief
When the first six days of February brought severe flooding to Jakarta, putting nearly half of the capital city under water and displacing over 200,000 people, Agility extended a helping hand both to its own workers and to others in the community. The Agility Jakarta team, led by Wahyu Budi, banded together to supply over 30 Agility families affected by the flood with emergency supplies, food and medicine. They also helped rescue employees trapped in their homes. Then the Jakarta office coordinated with the World Food Program (WFP) to distribute high-energy biscuits; they donated drivers and truck services as well as supplied fuel to distribute food to citizens displaced by the flood. The humanitarian operation began February 7th with the first deliveries of noodles and protein biscuits, and was at the WFP's disposal through March 2007.
