Agility Responds to Chile Earthquake

Not long after the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti, an 8.8 magnitude earthquake hit Chile on February 27, 2010. In response to the earthquake and the resulting tsunami, Agility worked closely with a leading humanitarian agency to acquire, deliver and coordinate all logistics resources to enable the receipt and distribution. The Agility team arranged for local transport and provided office space and administrative support for members of the relief agency. These membersĀ  were deployed to Chile to access infrastructure and examine if any international support is required. The team in Chile also arranged for meetings between high-ranking government officials and members of the humanitarian agency. In addition, two trucks were donated to the Chilean Red Cross to transport non-perishable food to the affected cities of Lolol and Navidad.
