Agility employees in Vietnam participated in the Mid-Autumn Festival festivities, the biggest Children’s Day celebration in Vietnam, and the opening of ’Paradise Garden’ at the Ha Noi National Hospital of Pediatrics. The hospital receives patients from all provinces of Northern Vietnam, as well as some patients from Central and Southern Vietnam. The National Hospital of Pediatrics sees on average of 10,000 in-patients and 350,000 out-patients per year. Each year, the hospital performs about 6,000 major surgical operations, including neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, cardiac surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and reconstructive and orthopedic surgery.
In partnership with the Making Dreams Come True Group, a voluntary organization the supports sick children, Agility purchased equipment for the hospital’s newly established playground. About 400 kids a day will use the playground equipment installed by Agility. The aim of the project is to provide hospitalized children a place to relax and have fun while receiving treatment. Minh Phuong, Airfreight Manager, Agility Vietnam, said, “The ‘Moon of Love Mid-Autumn Festival’ and the inauguration of the ‘Paradise Garden’ playground will be very meaningful to 1,000 children currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital of Pediatrics.”
