Agility Kuwait’s support to local charity Operation Hope continues to grow. Throughout 2009, Agility employees were on call to support the charity’s fundraising activities. Operation HOPE-Kuwait is a Mission of Mercy which provides practical humanitarian relief primarily to expatriate laborers in Kuwait. Operation HOPE collects donations, clothing, food, and other supplies for the labor force in Kuwait. In addition to that, they also accept financial donations to support needy families.
In 2009, Agility Kuwait organized six projects in support of the charity. Two Collection Drives were organized by Agility’s Prime Vendor (PV) Squad Leaders that saw the collection and donation of around 100 large boxes of clothing and household items. Several drop-off points were setup across Agility sites in Kuwait, where employees and staff members were able to donate items for Operation HOPE. Items collected ranged from clothing to sanitary products, toys to household items, books to electronics, and infant car seats to sporting gear. In addition to the collection drives, Agility’s PV-Squad Leaders organized four projects aimed at the reorganization of the Operation HOPE facility and the categorization, managing of inventory, and arrangement of previously donated items.
It is estimated that around 5,000 men and women living in Kuwait were positively impacted by the charity’s work.
