The Indian Women’s Association (IWA) in Kuwait is a non-profit voluntary organization that works with the mandate ‘to lend a helping hand’. One of their on-going projects involves providing for HIV/AIDS affected children from the Marmagao slums of Goa.
These children tend to be shunned by society due to their affliction and also need to sometimes assume larger responsibilities than their age commands when they lose their parents to the disease.
In February 2010, Agility made a commitment to support the education of these needy children and in turn give them the opportunity to lead a normal life. Agility’s assistance will go towards providing basic necessities like school bags, school uniforms, rain shoes, umbrellas and raincoats as well as tuition fees either for schools or for private lessons they require.
