Official Transporter for Tkiyet Um Ali

During the month of Ramadan, Agility donated its transportation services to Tkiyet Um Ali, a Jordanian NGO that provides food and humanitarian aid to the less privileged sectors of Jordanian society.  Tkiyet Um Ali’s vision works towards achieving a ‘free from hunger’ Jordan by 2015.  The organization’s mission is “to feed and sustain, in cooperation with all sectors, underprivileged citizens through the provision of Food for Life, while guiding those to long-term self-sustaining solutions for empowered and dignified existence.”

As the official transporter for the 2009 Tkiyet Um Ali Ramadan Campaign, Agility delivered 224,391.04 kg of food, rice and sugar packages to Jordan’s 12 governorates.  On the first day alone, 537 packages were delivered to three governorates.  By the end of Ramadan, Agility trucks had delivered 4,588 food packages to 4,588 families across all the Jordanian governorates. Agility’s coordinators, drivers and laborers were highly praised by the Tkiyet Um Ali organization for their commitment, discipline, and reliability.

Frank Clary, CSR Senior Manager, said, “We are very pleased to be able to partner with the Tkiyet Um Ali team on this year’s program.  The Tkiyet team has a great reputation and we’re proud to be the prime logistics organization to support their efforts this Ramadan.”
