Tarek Sultan Speaks About Sustainability and Corporations 

Tarek Sultan, Chairman and Managing Director of Agility, was invited to speak at a forum called “Sense and Sustainability” organized by the En.v initiative in Kuwait. The forum discussed issues related to transparency, accountability incentive strategies, attitudes and legislation related to sustainability.

As a part of the discussion, Tarek touched on the importance of sustainability as it related to the private sector (ie. companies and corporations) as well as the public sector (government and quasi-governmental institutions). Among the issues discussed were: gas emissions, renewable energy, agricultural productivity, waste management and water shortage.

Other speakers at the conference included representatives from Dow Chemicals, the World Bank, Weber Shandwick, the Kuwait Environmental Protection Agency, the Arab Forum for Environment and Development, and the Gulf Environment General Trading and Contracting Company.
