MicroTransport: Dynamic Total Asset Visibility Tool for Global Supply Chains

MicroTransport is an intermodal Total Asset Visibility (TAV) tool that interfaces with SAS400 for warehouse management, MicroClear for customs clearance and select government systems through EDI messaging. The deployed system includes the intelligent Global Sentinel™ and a seamless back-end infrastructure providing data and graphical user interfaces.

MicroTransport provides a full range of supply chain and asset management capabilities that include:

  • Complete near real-time tracking of asset locations worldwide
  • Status monitoring options for multiple conditions and security with near real-time exception-driven reporting
  • Business-rule-based operation: the ability to use any of the sensed data as inputs to business rules active on the remote device

With Agility’s MicroTransport and Impeva Labs’ Global Sentinel™, you can know in near-real-time when and where your supply chain asset violates a predetermined route, exceeds thresholds for temperature or other sensory thresholds, such as humidity levels, exposure to sudden shock, vibration or tilt, or if preset parameters have been changed. The integrated services also detects tampering or intrusion into containers and trailers and other sensor-derived information that may be of interest and provides immediate notification via e-mail and SMS.
