DDKS

In 2004, Agility was commissioned by the DLA to create and run a logistics center servicing the armed forces in Kuwait and Iraq. From a patch of barren desert the huge facility was built and went live in just 150 days.

The statistics of the facility known as DDKS (Defense Distribution Kuwait/ South Asia) are impressive: 2 million sq. ft, 53,000 individual stock items and an average of 2,500 MROs (Material Release Orders) per day, encompassing Construction Materials and a range of military essentials.

When the distribution center was opened it was the first time in the DLA’s history that all contractual key performance indicators of the center’s operation have been certified as “green” from day one.

There are a total of 26 Defense Distribution Centers around the world and each month those achieving over 99% accuracy are recognized with a DLA award.

AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service)

Agility Defense & Government Services is building on a revitalized supply line though Jordan to military bases in Iraq. This corridor was only being used to move food and other supplies to dozens of military installations in theatre. The new routing for AAFES exchanges in Western Iraq has saved both money spent on transportation and time to replenish the necessities and retail goods made available to our soldiers, airmen and marines on many military installations. It has proven to be more reliable and predictable than the previous overland routing through Turkey from Europe and by building on this success Agility was recently able to expand the outstanding service to AAFES in Baghdad.
