Our customer is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of passenger and freight elevators. The company has a pioneering role as a full-service provider, seamlessly combining system development and production. It includes a wide range of high quality products from single components to complete systems.
Customer Challenge
The packaging and transportation of sensitive and over-sized elevators required a logistics service provider that could offer local know-how, storage facilities and corresponding equipment – a partner that could fall back on a global logistics network when implementing individual packaging projects.
The customer’s production site features a large development department that is continuously working on optimizing the components in the fields of machine manufacturing, control and drive engineering and software.
Agility Solution
Agility developed a customized logistics concept, enabling pick up from the production site, packaging and transport of the products within the time given and according to the country-specific regulations.
As a first step our experts inspected the goods on the production site to provide tailor-made packaging.
Thereafter the freight was transported to our logistics facility and held there - ready to be transported globally by air, sea or road - on time and on budget.
