Corporate Social Responsibility

At Agility, we believe that global presence demands global responsibility. We're committed to using our logistics expertise to make a difference in the world, starting right in our offices and extending far into the communities where we work.

"As a company that focuses on emerging markets, we see firsthand how poverty, disaster, and global climate change affect us all," says Tarek Sultan, Agility's Chairman and Managing Director. "No one can afford to ignore these problems — and we're in a unique position to help. We believe that good corporate citizenship is a long-term investment in the future of our business, our society, and our planet."

Humanitarian Relief

We're experts in emergency preparedness and crisis response. We know how to deliver goods and services in some of the world's most challenging environments. And when disaster strikes, our Humanitarian and Emergency Logistics Program (HELP) acts. Under the auspices of the World Economic Forum, HELP works with other industry leaders to help relief organizations reach, assess, and deliver goods to areas affected by flood, fire, famine, and other humanitarian crises. Whether we're deploying top-performing employees, activating our global network of warehouses and trucks, or leveraging our contacts with shipping companies and airlines, donating our services to our humanitarian partner organizations allows Agility to have a genuine impact in matters of life and death.

Sustainability

Agility believes that in a very literal sense, our future depends on supporting the health of both our business and the planet itself. We recognize the critical importance of preserving natural resources. We also understand that these complex issues demand worldwide dialogue to raise awareness and create consensus. That's why we're active participants in this global discussion.

We're working with the World Economic Forum to identify best practices in reducing carbon in the supply chain. We're also bringing the conversation home by involving employees in initiatives to cut Agility's carbon footprint and developing ways to educate customers about the environmental implications of their purchasing decisions.

Community

Agility knows how to harness the power of passion to make a difference. We've given our employees the power to suggest and lead CSR initiatives, from small steps in greening the workplace to neighborhood and community projects that benefit dozens, even hundreds of people in the regions where we do business. We also support their passionate involvement with a corporate grant program.

Since 2006, we've supported more than 120 employee-led community projects in more than 40 countries around the world. About 15 percent of our workforce has volunteered to manage or participate in these projects. And nearly 300,000 people have benefited from their efforts.
