The purchase includes 25 bulk-fuel storage tanks with a combined capacity of roughly four million barrels; five miles of pipeline; and receipt-and-issue facilities.
Upon closing, the joint venture will take possession of the facilities from Shell and begin operating the fuel terminal in Agat, Guam.
The bulk-fuel storage and distribution facilities will be operated by Tristar Terminals Guam, a joint venture owned by Agility and Tristar Transport. TriStar Terminals Guam will provide general repairs and refurbishment of the 237-acre facility, which currently serve the Guam Power Authority, Guam Port Authority and other customers.
This acquisition strengthens Agility’s ability to provide fuel logistics support to defense customers. The additional capacity also allows Agility to offer bulk-fuel storage and terminal services to commercial customers in the Pacific.
