Agility Wins $5M Army & Air Force Exchange Service Contract
15 March 2009
Please be informed that Agility won a contract to provide airfreight pick-up and delivery services for Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) stores in Iraq.

AAFES is a joint-service military organization within the Department of Defense. It sells brand-name merchandise to active and retired service members and their families. AAFES has more than $9 billion in annual revenue and is one of the world's 40 largest retailers.

This Atlanta-to-Iraq lane of the Air Freight to Iraq Tender contract, which is expected to start during the first quarter of this year, is estimated to reach $5 million annually. The duration of the contract will depend on the need of the AAFES and can not be determined for the time being.

Under the tender, Agility will be responsible for clearing and transporting store merchandise destined for AAFES customers at U.S. military installations in Western Iraq sites via Jordan from Atlanta, Ga.

Agility will bring its depth of experience to this contract having worked with both defense customers and commercial retailers. This contract win further strengthens Agility’s relationship with AAFES, one of its key global accounts.
