With reference to the aforementioned subject, Agility has acquired the Paris based Medgroup that includes (Medorient Algeria), (Medorient France) and (Med-Logistics UK). The Medgroup is a freight forwarding and logistics company that manages general cargo, fairs and exhibitions and project logistics with a specialization in the oil and gas industry. This acquisition further strengthens Agility’s global network with eight offices across the three countries. Algeria is a new country on Agility’s network map while the Marseille office of Meorient France will extend Agility’s presence in the country.

The Medgroup shares a long history with Agility having served as reliable agent offering integrated door to door service to Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia by the fastest routes possible. The Medgroup gives exceptional support to the fast growing oil and gas industry with comprehensive coverage of ports and have superior customs clearance capabilities in Algeria.

The value of the acquisition is estimated at USD 6 million.
