Agility Announces Changes to CEO Position for Asia Pacific

Hans Hickler appointed new CEO, Asia Pacific Region, and former CEO, Asia Pacific Region, Wolfgang Hollermann to take on a global advisory role to Essa Al-Saleh, Agility’s President and CEO, Global Integrated Logistics (GIL).


Hong Kong - Agility has announced the appointment of Hans Hickler as CEO, Asia Pacific Region, with effect from March 2, 2010. At the same time, Wolfgang Hollermann, who was previously CEO, Asia Pacific Region, will transition to a new role as Advisor to the Global Integrated Logistics (GIL) President and CEO, Essa Al-Saleh.


Hickler joins Agility from DHL, where he most recently was CEO for Global Customer Solutions, based in the United States. He was responsible for leading the development and sale of customer solutions for all DHL business units including DHL Supply Chain, Warehousing & Distribution, Forwarding and Express products. Previously, Hans served as CEO of DHL Express USA. Earlier in his career he was CEO of APL Logistics. He will be based in Hong Kong.

He has an extensive background that has encompassed all parts of the business and has worked in the Asia Pacific region before so we are confident he is ready to take Agility to a new level.”


After almost 20 years of service with Agility, Wolfgang Hollermann, will be transitioning to a new role as Advisor to Essa Al-Saleh effective March 1, 2010. Wolfgang will work with Hans to ensure a smooth transition in the Asia Pacific region. After that, Wolfgang will devote his attention full-time to the new role that will capitalize on his experience and expertise by assisting with key global projects.
