Irvine, California – Agility, a leading global logistics provider, has announced changes to its USA organizational structure, including a number of leadership promotions. As part of its efforts to streamline its U.S. operations and drive sales growth, the company has established its organization into two main geographic areas: Area North and Area South.
The change in structure will put management closer to the business, build a more unified strategy, improve communications and enable faster response to various industry changes. The Areas will also utilize gateway functions to support import and export consolidation programs resulting in improved space allocation for customer cargo. Area North will use Chicago and New York as principal gateways, with Boston as a support gateway for specific business and programs. Area South will use Los Angeles, Atlanta and Miami as gateway locations. Miami will serve as the Latin America gateway and hub operation for business in transit between USA and South America.
Agility’s new USA Area structure comes in conjunction with the following significant promotions and appointments:
- Mike Robinson was promoted to chief executive officer, USA. In his new role, Mike leads the USA organization, focusing on driving its business development initiatives and profitability. Since joining Agility in July 2008, Mike has been in the role of COO USA, where he was responsible for leading the country operations.

In this role, Michael will have responsibility for developing and implementing the sales strategy for the region with a principal focus on delivering growth in the U.S. He will lead the Americas sales force and ensure that the company leverages its global network to continue to grow its customer base.
