Agility opens its first office on island to complement recently launched shipping service

TASMANIA, Australia –  Agility, a leading global logistics provider, has expanded its business operations in Tasmania through its partnership with Willard Estate Logistics, based in Launceston.

The core business of the company is freight forwarding and customs clearance and it will provide Agility with enhanced services for importers and exporters.

“This is a real milestone for Agility as it is our first office in Tasmania and Willard Estate Logistics has a first rate reputation with importers and exporters on the island.  The business will complement our shipping service that was launched recently providing scheduled container shipping services from Melbourne to Bell Bay, Tasmania,” said Mick Turnbull, CEO, Australasia and North Asia.

“We are very pleased that we will become part of Agility as it will provide our customers in Tasmania with many opportunities through its global network and comprehensive suite of freight and logistics services,” said Brett Charlton, owner of Willard Estate Logistics. Mr. Charlton has been appointed as Agility’s Tasmania Manager.

Willard Estate Logistics was founded in Tasmania seven years ago and through its team of dedicated employees provides logistical solutions to some of Tasmania’s most iconic international trading companies.
