Singapore: Agility Fairs and Events (F&E), a division of Agility’s Global Integrated Logistics (GIL) business group, has beaten off strong opposition to secure a long term contract with one of Europe’s leading fair ground and exhibition companies, Leipziger Messe GmbH.

Agility F&E will begin a five year contract as the Official Appointed Freight Forwarder in Leipzig, Germany from January 2009.  Under the contract, Agility F&E will be responsible for handling, storing and distributing materials for more than 120 events and up to 45 trade shows and exhibitions such as the Leipzig Book Fair, AMI, AMITEC and the Games Convention.

“The events that Leipziger Messe organise attract 12,700 exhibitors and approximately 1.6 million visitors each year and we are proud to have been selected as the official freight forwarder by one of Europe’s leading players in the  fairs and exhibition business,” said Edgar von der Heydt, Managing Director Fairs & Events, Area Central Europe of Agility F&E .
