Agility Wins Major UK Defence Event Contract

12 August 2010

LONDON, England – Agility, a leading global logistics provider, has been awarded the contract to manage logistics services for the Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEi) exhibition in 2011 and 2013.

DSEi is one of the world’s leading defence and security supply chain exhibitions and attracted 1,280 exhibitors from 40 countries in 2009.

Clarion Defence and Security awarded Agility the contract as the official Logistics Management provider.  This will include all onsite handling services alongside Agility’s offering to provide UK and international freight movement to and from the show.

As the sole official Logistics Management contractor, Agility will be responsible for assisting exhibitors and their contractors, from around the world, with the shipping of their exhibits to and from the show.  Some of the exhibits are security controlled and require expert assistance and advice.

“DSEi is one of the largest and most complex global defence events and we are very proud to have secured the contract for the next two exhibitions. The contract reflects Agility’s long history in managing large international events, made possible through our global network,” said David Richards, managing director, Agility Fairs & Events UK.

Clarion Defence and Security is a division of Clarion Events Ltd and its portfolio of exhibitions include UDT Europe, ITEC, LAAD, and Navdex.

Kellie Reynolds, Clarion’s operations director, commented: “We selected Agility as the official Logistics Management provider for DSEi because they display a proactive approach to the show, contributing a raft of new ideas to enhance the exhibitor experience.  This combined with the commitment and quality of delivery they display during our other events make them the best fit for DSEi.”
