Hamburg: Agility achieved a milestone recently with the opening of a new sea and air freight office in Warszaw, Poland. This follows the opening of the office in Wroclaw for road freight and sales in 2008. With these two strategic locations, Agility now provides comprehensive freight management services in Poland and will also have IATA licensing by the end of January 2009.
Taking this a step further, Agility is driving efforts to develop strategic business partnerships to benefit existing and prospective customer. The first of these will be a global cooperation with Lufthansa Cargo AG to Poland. As Oliver Hellmold, Managing Director of Agility’s Europe’s Area Central, explains: “We are constantly on the lookout for adequate logistics and infrastructure partners willing to invest with us, to generate growth and open up even more routes to the East. We also have plans to develop our different branches through such partnerships especially for handling, warehousing and customs clearance.”
In the past year, Agility has made significant investments to strengthen its presence in the Eastern European region. In Poland, Agility customers can now benefit from direct connections to their most important commercial markets. Agility’s integrated supply chain management solutions soon to cover the entire region will also be an added value for customers targeting overseas markets.”
