Kuwait City, Kuwait, and Santa Ana, California: PWC Logistics has completed its previously announced acquisition of GeoLogistics Corporation, a global freight forwarder and logistics services provider. Effective immediately, GeoLogistics becomes a subsidiary of PWC Logistics and will continue to operate under its existing name. Senior management will remain in place.
The combined group currently generates revenues in excess of US$3.0 billion and hasover 10,000 employees spread across more than 100 countries worldwide.Customers of the group now have access to an expanded array of logistics services and an enhanced geographic reach.
GeoLogistics is the third acquisition completed by PWC Logistics in 2005. In February, PWC Logistics acquired Singapore-based Trans-Link Group, a specialist in event and exhibition logistics, and in April it acquired US-based Transoceanic Shipping, a global provider of project logistics solutions to the energy, engineering and construction industries.
GeoLogistics engaged Citigroup and Bear Stearns as financial advisors and Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP as legal advisor. Banc of America Securities and Shearman & Sterling LLP advised PWC Logistics on the transaction.
