Houston Texas - Agility, a US$4.5 billion global logistics provider, has named Thomas J. Griffin to the position of President of Agility Project Logistics, the specialized business unit of Agility devoted to serving the projects and oil and gas sectors.

Griffin, a ten-year company veteran, replaces Gregory Rusovich, who is leaving the company to spend more time with his family and to focus on civic and political initiatives; many related to Katrina  recovery efforts in New Orleans, his home town.  Rusovich has led the project cargo company, founded by his father in 1947 and formerly known as Transoceanic, before it was acquired by Agility in 2005. Agility Project Logistics is headquartered in Houston.

In the logistics industry for over thirty-five years, Griffin has had responsibility for global business development, operations, finance, and administration, with a primary focus on project logistics.  At Agility, Griffin’s most recent position was Senior Vice President, Agility Project Logistics, with global responsibility for operations, business development, and sales.   He reports directly to Essa Al-Saleh, President & CEO, Agility Global Integrated Logistics.
