Hosted by Shanghai, on both sides of the city’s Huangpu River, participants at the Expo will include 192 countries and 50 international organisations. Daily visitor numbers are estimated at around 400,000 to 800,000 people.

Expo 2010 Highlights

The theme for the Expo is Better City, Better Life. It will explore the full potential of urban life in the 21st century, a significant period in urban evolution.

By 2010, 55% percent of the world’s population is expected to live in cities. The prospect of future urban life concerns all nations, developed or less developed and their people.

The Expo will explore eco-friendly and sustainable approaches to human habitat, lifestyle and working conditions in the new century.

What we can do for you at the Expo

As a leading global logistics provider Agility offers an established range of products and services. At Shanghai World Expo 2010 we offer freight forwarding, on-site handling, warehouse and distribution as well as cold chain logistics.

Freight forwarding

We offer our Expo customers (international and local) a user-friendly menu of standard freight forwarding products which allows you to be fully prepared for Expo 2010. Our in-house freight forwarding experts tailor each product to your specific needs via an easy-to-configure list of options: Forward Servicing Options (for special cargo needs) and Logistics Service Options (for requirements that extend beyond ‘pick up and delivery’). Our experienced Customs clearance specialists also handle all your vital documentation, smoothly and efficiently ensuring it meets each country’s mandatory laws, rules and regulations.

Logistics

Our logistics experts can customize your supply chain needs to meet your exact requirements and goals, on time and on demand. They do so by organizing the facilities at our state-of-the-art warehousing and distribution facilities, advanced systems and technology and value added services. At the Expo we have been appointed as the official logistics provider for the Expo Performance Centre (45,000 square meters) which includes two performance sites where we can offer a full range of Event Management logistics services.

Warehouse & Domestic Distribution

For the World Expo 2010, Agility can provide all the storage you require. As the Expo’s official logistics provider we have access to the official on-site 25,000 square meter warehouse. In addition we have four Agility-operated temperature-controlled warehouses, totaling 10,000 square meters. In times of peak demand, we also have a back-up storage option to ensure that you never run short of important items. We can arrange local pick-up and storage in our dedicated warehouse or can receive shipments as and when required. As well as taking care of your space, storage and distribution needs we can also handle your Customs requirements; as we are fully qualified for Customs and CIQ declaration and can perform our own declarations on site at the Shanghai Expo.

Cold Chain Logistics

In the height of the searing Shanghai summer, when temperatures can reach as high as 38 degrees Celsius (100+ Fahrenheit), ensuring product hygiene standards and that the correct temperatures are met and maintained is vital.

As the only cold chain logistics provider for the Expo 2010, we can offer an end-to-end cold chain logistics solution for you with pick-up at origin and transportation to the Expo site.

We have access to a cold chain warehouse with 10,000 square meters of capacity three temperature zones (-18C for frozen goods storage, 0-10C for chilled goods and 15-25C air conditioning).

Agility can also provide clients with a full range of transportation equipment (we have a fleet of 100 trucks) and will have in place almost 300 specially trained on-site staff to ensure seamless delivery and service.
